Moth to the flame....

UPDATE: Governor Christie's volunteer hotline no. please call 1 800-537-7397.

Astonishing.

Maybe it's because I find natural disasters awe-inspiring, chaos in our perfectly ordered worlds that remind us how delicate our little precious lives are. Maybe it's because I dream of moving to a beach town, and worry that it will be too dangerous in due to increasingly severe storms thanks to climate change. Maybe because, a basic drawing professor once asked me, "What does a Jersey girl have to offer?" and I didn't know what it meant. Maybe it's knowing globally famous icons, like Seaside Heights, can be washed away. Maybe it's the scene in ZombieLand where they're fighting in a theme park and a post-apocalyptic amusement park seems so much more possible now....
