Things are going well, smack dab in the middle of a refreshing Spring Break. It's weird and good and bad at the same time... in the very beginning you feel like you have all the time in the world, but as the middle of the week creeps up, the time doesn't feel as endless. I woke up with a persistent sore throat which I'm trying to head with lemon infused teas and avoiding most irritants... beside the norovirus I got hit with last month, I had yet to get sick. Oh well, bound to happen.
As you may have guessed, I collected enough gas money to drive home. It's been splendid being home with friends and family. Between various refunds and tax returns, I will be debt free very soon. Not having to pay off credit cards is a wonderful feeling of relief and freedom. I've gotten into the habit of living off of credit cards instead of my income at school, which is a slippery slope if I don't retrain myself now. So, yay for clean slates and fresh starts!
I don't know if I have mentioned it here yet, but I'll be going to Seattle, WA at the end of March for NCECA, the National Council on the Education for the Ceramic Arts. It's a big ceramics conference! This will be my very first time visiting NCECA, the West Coast, and flying on a jet plane. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly nervous about flying, but i will be doing my best to keep my nerves at bay. I can't wait to mingle with so many other mud artists, whoo hoo!
For the rest of the week I hope to get in as much friend time as possible, rock my homework assignments, and possibly tidy up around the house. SPRING BREAK AWAY!!!
