Awesomesauce, the weekend starts today!

Spell check, I reject your rejection of the word awesomesauce. It stays *triumphant nod.*

Let's see what I have in store for ya...

"The Anachronism
works hard to be New York City's friendliest, most accepting, and absolutely most fun Steampunk event. ...and it's also by far the largest Steampunk event in Manhattan. The event runs quarterly at Webster Hall, on 11th street between 3rd and 4th Avenue." It's run by the same folks who do Wicked Faire and the Steampunk Wolrd's Fair. It HAS to be a steamy good time! December 4th at Webster Hall in NYC! Here's the FaceBook page for the even t as well.

5 Ways We Ruined
the Occupy Wall Street Generation
- a funny and insightful article about why those "spoiled brat protesters" are a result of the generations before them. (PS - I don't think they're spoiled)

20 Artists Re-Imagine Their Childhood Drawings - This is really cool! There are a lot of really amazing artists included in this collection, and it's very fascinating to see how they used to draw as kids and how they've interpreted those drawings now.

"Botany of Desire" by one of my favorite ceramic artists, Rebekah Bogard.

Shelter Workers Are Not Broken
, by Terri Kaplan of A Lesson In Physics writes about the misunderstandings of kill animal shelters and their employees. I think it's important to read, as No-Kill and Kill shelters are all interwoven in the same horrible system of pet over-population. They are not the enemies. By the way, Terri's blog is full of lot's of fantastic information on dog training, definitely worth bookmarking if you're a dog lover!

Crafting tutorial made by my friend Angela M. of Blueberry Crumble Craft. Even though fall is just about gone, this is a great one to try out for next year!

Brilliant Fucking hilarious and brilliant man with a megaphone :)

Following the same theme as above, Dr. Steel's PSA inspires you do do more with your life and your gift of creativity. I love it!

This one hits close to home for me. When I was a freshman I plundered "Goth Topic", died my hair blue and wore black finger-less gloves all the time. My best friend's mother decided, despite knowing me since I was 8 and ran our Girl Scout troop with my mother, to kick me out of her house because she thought I was a "bad influence." I'm still a little bitter about it to this day, even though I know I am SO better off in life in the end :P

Cat Hugs Baby Kitten Having Nightmare - so cute, go watch it!

Hahaha.

Have a great weekend guys!
