ABC: Always Be Creative

It's coming to a head that if there is one thing I need to do more of, it's create art. I wait far too long to start projects, many of them dictated by classroom assignments. I don't create enough personal work, in my opinion. Perhaps I was just really inspired by a documentary in class we watched on Robert Rauschenberg. He creates, constantly, always exploring new media, and as a result, has changed art as we know it.

Anyway, enough talk, you guys know where I'm going with this. From this point forward, I am going to try to dedicate a portion of every day to create, with whatever is around me. It could be small individual projects, it could be experiments & tests, it could be long term projects. Keeping up a creative momentum is important, and something I need to learn to dedicate time to. Life happens, create art by it.

This blog will be my documentation.

  1. this is a fantastic idea! I've absolutely dedicated my nights to creating and crafting and what not. I have a pretty normal schedule, wake up, work, come home, eat, possibly see jeremy, get ready for the next day (lunch, coffee, clothes, etc.) and then just craft til I'm too tired to keep my eyes open. I can always tell when I haven't been making things, I'm not happy, irritable, pent up.
Once you start to find the time, everything else that was taking up that time will become less important!
